Year-view mirror 2017

1.Prostrate on moonlight

flight across equator lines

by each other’s sides.

2. Another year in

This decade of thinningness;

Now at home again.

3. A new run-down house;

new job seeking meaning in

new/old triangles.

4. Glad to see these colours

On leaves falling prey to

Time and gravity.

5. Nothing lasts for long;

Old cycles start anew, and

Before you know it ...

6. Night king is coming!

I breathe breathless air; trying

To fill despair with

7. Sunshine odysseys,

ginger, wine grapes; stranger things

nurtured by compost,

8. Weekenders, cycles,

McWalkywalks; and poop tubes

With newfound friends.

9. My life blooms as a

courgette, or like red turtles

Rising from the sea.

10. As my mother’s work

story ends, compost too fills

empty holes for her.

11. And at last, surveys

ask how equal are we? Yes! - what

we knew all along.

12. You, wondering through,

Summer, Autumn, Winter, Spring

Call me by your name.
